English courses
The Palestine Center offers a variety of English courses that range from the very basic and beginning language levels to more advanced levels. The courses focus on conversation in which students speak in conversational sessions; through this immersion a student’s fluency is promoted.
The Palestine Center structures its courses based on modern teaching methods in order to strengthen student skills in English. The purpose of classifying skill levels is to place students according to their age and language learning level in English in order to ensure that the appropriate educational method is used in teaching.
Teaching enables students to acquire more than 500 words; therefore, the learner is able to have a simple conversation with others, besides classmates and teachers. Class time presentations, homework assignments, and interactive activities help the student to learn and understand English in meaningful ways, thereby making the English language usable and practical. In addition to speaking skills, our courses teach English grammar along with writing skills.
One on One English Course
The one-on-one course is offered by the Palestine Center to those who wish to develop and build their language skills in a more private and individual environment, as well as being able to schedule their lesson times in a more convenient time slot.
English courses for Children
The Palestine Center has designed a special course for children who are between 6-13 years old. These courses focus on building the English language abilities of children in the field of conversation, reading, and writing through appropriate activities, games and educational means. These courses are held twice a week by distinguished teachers and child education specialists.
Turkish Language Courses
The Center offers Turkish language courses targeting specific groups of the Palestinian community, such as merchants, traders, businessman, as well as students, who wish to learn the basics of the Turkish language in order to enhance their professional and academic abilities. The course seeks to improve the skills of pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing in Turkish. This course is taught by a native speaker of the Turkish language and who is an experienced and qualified teacher of Turkish.
Hebrew Language Courses
The Hebrew course is dedicated to teaching Hebrew to non-native speakers. The following topics are taught in the course: reading, listening comprehension, grammar, and speaking skills. This course is intended for those who wish to join the labor market in Israel – or for those who wish to learn the language just for fun!
For those wanting to learn Hebrew for business purposes, the course introduces employers and employees to the basics of Hebrew in order to understand commercial terms, and the ability to read and understand those terms and conditions in business transactions, banking transactions, reading business transactions in Hebrew. The course also teaches the acquisition of basic conversational skills in day to day living, and the ability to communicate with Hebrew speakers.
Drawing courses
The Palestine Center organizes art courses. These courses are aimed at children and adults who are interested in learning the art of oil painting, charcoal, and drawing. The Palestine Center utilizes a faculty of artists who are skilled artists.
IELTS preparation courses
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS test) is the British version of the internationally recognized English language level placement test. An IELTS score is used to apply for employment positions or language placement level in European, American, as well as other universities around the world.
This program is designed for persons who wish to not only prepare for the IELTS test, but also to improve and develop their English language skills at the university level. This course teaches tips and strategies for taking the IELTS test. The course uses prior IELTS testing forms as the main study material.
Finally, the Palestine Center seeks to instill a love of language learning in its students.
