Go Palestine provides a diverse range of internship programs in Palestine with the aim of imparting valuable knowledge about life in the region. These programs encompass a wide array of subjects, including media, journalism, law, refugees, culture, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, human rights, children’s issues, and education.

In addition, Go Palestine presents interns with the opportunity to attend weekly Arabic classes, taught by our exceptional Arabic teachers who possess extensive expertise in Arabic literature and teaching Arabic as a second language. These classes cover both Levantine dialect and Modern Standard Arabic, ensuring a comprehensive language learning experience.

  • Go Palestine has welcomed individuals from 40 countries across the globe. Our participants come from various nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Colombia, France, Japan, China, Chile, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, and many more. Fluency in English and prior management experience are the only prerequisites to join us.
  • At Go Palestine, we invite individuals between the ages of 18 and 75 to apply for any of our internship programs. There is no need for specific academic or professional degrees to participate in our programs. We encourage everyone with a passion for learning and making a difference to apply.

It’s a comprehensive program that aims to give you the opportunity to experience living in Palestine, learn the Arabic language and teaching English to Palestinians. In addition, getting to know the other aspects of Palestine, including the human rights situation in Palestine, the challenges of the Palestinian media, the Palestinian narrative of the conflict.

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict & Refugees Internship Program is an informative program that will inform you about one of the most complicated conflicts in recent history. The program is designed to give you a better understanding of the conflict and provide you with actual experience from the ground.

Law & Human Rights Internship

The Law & Human Rights Internship in Palestine Program is an informative program that provides you with information about the human rights situation in Palestine especially Women’s and Children’s Rights and the work of human rights NGOs in the city of Hebron. 

Media and Journalism Internship

The Media and Journalism Internship in Palestine is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in media or whose work relates to media and who want to gain experience working with media in Palestine. You will have the opportunity to visit local radio stations and understand the challenges Palestinian media outlets face due to the occupation.

Intern At A Palestinian Law Firm

The Law internship in Palestine/West Bank is a program that gives you the opportunity to know, understand, and engage with the Palestinian legal system. As an intern in this program, you will be able to learn about the judicial system and attend hearings at the courts in Hebron, Palestine.

The Trade & Industry Internship

Trade & Industry internship in Palestine is designed for those wishing to learn about the most prominent industries that exist in Palestine. The program aims at introducing the participants to the factors producing the prosperity of the industrial sector, the development of sub-industries, and the formation of a cluster society. Special attention is given to the sector of shoes and leather, textiles, and clothing, which impact positively on Palestinian exports.

Healthcare & Environment Internship

This internship targets those working in the medical sector such as doctors, surgeons, specialists, nurses, physiotherapists, therapists, students of various medical colleges, and all those wishing to learn about the nature of the work of the medical sector in Palestine, including hospitals, clinics, primary care centers, clinics, pharmaceutical factories and other places that provide health care.

The Education in Palestine Internship

The Education System in Palestine Internship (ESP) – (1-12 Weeks) aim to introduce participants to the educational system in Palestine/West Bank in public and private schools as well as UNRWA schools in the refugee camps in Hebron and Bethlehem, through field visits and meetings with school principals, teachers, and education personnel.

Where does the internship programs take place?

They all take place in the heart of Palestine, in the city of Hebron. Hebron, Al-Khalil in Arabic, is located in the southern part of the West Bank. It is 30 km (19 miles) south of Jerusalem. The population of Hebron is about 300,000 persons who reside in the city, and about another 500,000 who live in the surrounding villages.

What is the Application Process?

  • First, email us asking for the application form.
  • We send you the application, and you fill out the application and send it back to us.
  • Our team reviews your application. We may invite you for an interview by means of a Skype/WhatsApp call.
  • If you are selected after the interview, we will send you a confirmation form which you fill out and return to us.
  • We prepare and send you the Invitation Letter and the Contract.  We will also send you the invoice for payment, which will include all the information regarding payment options.  
  • You will sign the contract and make payment in order to reserve your place in the program.
  • We will send you an Orientation Booklet and travel instructions. These two items will provide you with all the information on how to get to Hebron and contact the Center. One of our coordinators will provide his/her contact number within an email sent to you.  

When can I apply ?

  • Applicants have the flexibility to decide when to join a program.
  • We are very flexible when it comes to starting and ending dates.
  • Applicants also choose their length of participation, which is a minimum of one week up to three months/12 weeks.

Do I need to know how to speak Arabic?

  • Participants are not obligated to know Arabic.
  • The center will provide you with 3 hours of Arabic lessons each week with one of our teachers.
  • The participant can choose either to study Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) or Spoken Arabic Language (known as Ammyia) once they start their program. 

Do I need a visa to enter Palestine? 

  • The Israeli government requires a visa for you to enter Israel. Visas are routinely granted upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) if you are a citizen of an exempted country.
  • They are also available at the Allenby-King Hussein Bridge Israel-Jordan border crossing. Tourist visas are valid for 90 days. Most Americans and Europeans are issued three-month visas upon arrival and clearing customs.
