On Fridays, it is recommended to leave and come back early since it is a holiday for both Muslims and Jews. You can also arrange to stay in Nablus for one night or more. Nablus is considered the economic capital of Palestine and is home to one of the largest Palestinian universities, Al Najah University. Al Najah University was founded in 1918 as a primary school and later became a college. The city is famous for producing olive soap as well as knafeh which is the most famous oriental sweet in the Levant. Nablus also produces agricultural products such as cheese and thyme.
